The Lititz Rotary Club recognized Matthew Williams as Student of the Month at their regular meeting on February 22, 2022, held at the Lititz Springs Inn & Spa.  Matthew, a Warwick High School senior, is the son of Rachel and Jay Williams.  
 
Matthew is an academic achiever and has demonstrated academic excellence during his time at Warwick by earning recognition on the Distinguished Honor Roll. He participated in the local scout program with Cub Scout Pack 44 and attended Camp Mack.  He also volunteers with the Warwick baseball program and can be found working as a Host at Ciro’s Italian Bistro.
 
As an athlete, Matthew excels at baseball.  He is a 6’ 5” tall right handed pitcher and also plays 1st base.  In addition to playing baseball at Warwick, he plays for the Lititz Oddfellows and the Keystone State Bombers. He helped the Lititz Oddfellows earn LNP Tournament Championships in 2019 and 2021 and was named to the  All-Lancaster-Lebanon League First Team in 2021. The Keystone State Bombers make their home at Keystone State Baseball & Softball Academy located in Manheim, PA. The purpose of the Bombers program is to assist players that have the ability and the desire to play at the next level in preparing to do so. The program focus is on instruction and training of athletes and the importance of achieving academic excellence in the classroom.
 
Matthew will attend Millersville University in the Fall and will major in Business. He earned a baseball scholarship and is looking forward to playing for Millersville and Win a PSAC Championship.
