October 2025 Student of the Month

 

The Lititz Rotary Club recognized Harry Schweigert as Student of the Month at their regular meeting ion October 28, 2025, held at the Lititz Springs Inn & Spa. Harry is a senior at Warwick High School and the son of Amy and Scott Schweigert of Lititz, PA.

 

Harry is an exceptional academic achiever. He earned Distinguished Honor Roll throughout his entire freshman and junior years, as well as during the first and fourth marking periods of his sophomore year. His dedication to academic excellence has also earned him recognition as an AP Scholar during his senior year. In addition, Harry will be inducted into the National History Honor Society at the end of this school year.

 

Harry’s interests and talents extend across many academic and extracurricular areas. He has been active in the Warwick art community, participating in the Lititz Elementary and Warwick High School Art Shows during his freshman, junior, and senior years. He has competed in the Lancaster County Envirothon for three years — including one appearance at the state-level competition — and has been selected to the Homecoming Court, staff-nominated, during both his junior and senior years.

 

Harry is a highly involved member of the school community. He participates in a wide range of academic clubs, including Debate Club, Civics Club, Envirothon, History Club — where he now serves as vice president — Model U.N., Quiz Bowl, and Brainbusters on WGAL, in which he represented Warwick during his sophomore, junior, and senior years.

 

Harry has also contributed to local journalism, writing two articles for LNP through his Journalism class.

 

In the community, Harry has demonstrated a strong commitment to service. He has donated blood during school blood drives, planted trees at a park outside Lancaster City, and participated in trash cleanups around the high school for the past four years.

 

Harry also brings compassion and dedication to his work experience. For more than a year, he has worked as a dining aide at Brethren Village in both the assisted care facility and the Alzheimer’s special care unit, gaining valuable experience while serving residents with care and respect.

 

Looking ahead, Harry plans to attend Franklin & Marshall College, Gettysburg College, Dickinson College, Kutztown University, or Penn State University. He hopes to pursue a double major in political science and history as he prepares for a future career grounded in civic engagement and scholarship.

 

Harry’s academic commitment, service to his community, and leadership in a wide range of school activities make him an outstanding representative of Warwick High School and a deserving Rotary Student of the Month.
